Type Description

The ME63 industrial Ethernet gateway is the central control unit of B ü rkert products (valves, sensors, process control systems), based on EDIP (Efficient Device Integration Platform), and used for processes with high protection levels. The ME63 model consists of a fieldbus gateway that converts the internal communication of B ü rkert field devices based on CANopen into all common industrial standards of industrial Ethernet. With the help of eight M12 interfaces, CANopen based B ü rkert field devices can be directly connected to the ME63 gateway. The on-site equipment can be powered through an M12 L power supply (up to 32 A) or through an A-code M12 plug (up to 4 A). One of these additional fieldbus components can be, for example, ME64 type (I/O module) or passive distributor (included as an attachment in this data sheet). The task of the passive distributor is to easily integrate other fieldbus components into the bus system belonging to the ME63 gateway. The power input through the M12 L power supply can be used to power other on-site devices in the area through the output of the second M12 L power supply. The Ethernet switch is also integrated, which means that other field devices placed nearby can also be directly integrated into Ethernet communication.
